Abstract

Global organizations increasingly rely on virtual teams to execute complex, cross-border operations driven by digital transformation, global mobility constraints, and collaborative technologies. While virtual teams offer significant benefits—cost efficiency, talent diversity, enhanced flexibility—they also face challenges regarding communication barriers, coordination, cultural differences, trust building, time-zone constraints, and digital fatigue. This research article examines current models of virtual collaboration and proposes a comprehensive “Global Virtual Team Collaboration Framework (G-VTCF)” integrating communication structures, digital tools, trust models, cross-cultural intelligence, workflow coordination, and performance measurement. The study contributes to theory and practice by identifying success factors for sustainable and high-performance global virtual teams.
